I Never Realized I Needed a Cordless Glue Gun Until This $21 Gadget Changed How I Craft

When I’m not working full-time as a shopping writer, I’m a bit of a crafting queen after hours. I press flowers and bouquets for fun and DIY clay polymer earrings to give to my friends, but my favorite project of all is making wax seals. It’s quick and easy, with immediate gratification, and I enjoy the mental stillness it brings me while unwinding from a long day. Needless to say, my hot glue gun gets a lot of action, and after my last one copped out, my shopping research brought me to a life-changing discovery: cordless glue guns actually exist.

That precision is especially important for making wax seals, because I can better control the glue flow and avoid unintentionally making big globs that ultimately waste the glue. The detail tip is so fine, I can even write in script with it!

The tip also really comes in handy when I make clay polymer earrings. Instead of fussing with a jump ring all the time, the steady pace of the detail tip makes a quick and easy job of adhering a hook to the back of an earring. Jump rings can be impossible to maneuver sometimes (if you know, you know), so it’s nice to have a backup plan with hot glue if I ever get fed up with doing it by hand.

Because I never have to fight against the wires, I’m much less likely to burn myself with this glue gun. But just in case, the insulated nozzle also safeguards against burns. Even if I elbow or graze the glue gun with my hand or arm, I’ve found it to be pretty much burn-proof.
